Welcome to the Virginia Championship Hare Scramble Association (VCHSS)! Founded in 1984, we've dedicated ourselves to creating a premier amateur hare scramble racing experience for over 40 years! What began as a passion project quickly evolved into one of the nation's leading amateur racing organizations, a testament to the enduring spirit of our community.

At the heart of VCHSS is a simple yet powerful motto: "Formed for Riders by Riders". This principle is the bedrock of our series, ensuring that every decision and every race is shaped by those who know and love the sport best. Our organization thrives thanks to the dedication of elected officers and countless other staff & volunteers who generously give their time and expertise to maintain the quality and integrity of our series.
